Prof. M. P. SATIJA

Prof. M. P. Satija, is a distinguished UGC Emeritus Fellow of Library and Information Science at Guru Nanak Dev University. He is a prolific scholar, having authored 25 books, several of which have been published in multiple editions across India, the USA, the UK, Canada, and various Asian countries. His scholarly contributions extend to over 100 papers, published in peer-reviewed national and international journals, further solidifying his reputation in the global academic community. His works have been translated into several languages, including German, Spanish, French, Croatian, and Sinhala, showcasing the wide-reaching impact of his research. Dr. Satija has also contributed extensively to renowned encyclopedias, including the Encyclopedia of Library and Information Science (Taylor & Francis) edited by Marcia Bates, the Science Encyclopedia (Marcel-Dekker) edited by Allen Kent, and the Indian Encyclopedia of Library and Information Science edited by P.S.G. Kumar. In addition to his academic achievements, Dr. Satija has been invited as a visiting professor at prestigious institutions worldwide, including the University of Maastricht in the Netherlands, the University of Kelaniya in Sri Lanka, and the Documentation Research and Training Center (DRTC), Bengaluru.
