Prof. Laxman Rao N.

Prof. Laxman Rao Nagubandi, UGC Emeritus Fellow in the Department of Library and Information Science, Osmania University, is a distinguished academic and administrator with over 35 years of experience in teaching, research, and leadership. A Ph.D. from Osmania University and an M.Sc. in Information Management from the University of Sheffield (UK), he has held key positions including Director, UGC-Academic Staff College, and Head of the Department of Library and Information Science at Osmania University. Prof. Rao has guided numerous Ph.D. and M.Phil. scholars, served on UPSC and other national selection committees, and organized major national and international conferences and workshops on library science, digitization, and public libraries. Widely recognized for his contributions to library automation, digital libraries, and policy development, he has also been part of several UGC, INFLIBNET, and advisory committees, delivering keynote addresses and contributing to professional bodies at both national and international levels.
