Prof. B. D. Kumbar

Prof. B. D. Kumbar, a distinguished figure in the field of Library and Information Science (LIS), currently serves as the Vice-Chancellor of Davangere University, Davangere. He previously served as Professor in the Department of Library and Information Science at Karnatak University from 2005-2022, and has held several prestigious positions at the national level, including President of the Indian Library Association, General Secretary of IATLIS, and Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Indian Library Association (JILA). With a prolific academic career, Prof. Kumbar has authored 85 publications, including 6 books and 69 journal articles. His research contributions in Bibliometrics, Scientometrics, and User Studies are widely respected and referenced by LIS professionals across India.
